N0 9 - SHOP THE OUTSIDE - FASHION SHOP

I love new clothes if everyone could just wear new clothes everyday I reckon depression wouldn't exist anymore.
Shopping is cheaper than the psychiatrist

The theme of the window is fairly tale, tale of snow white. Beautifully hang clothing, waiting to be touched. Lovely angel lamp on the ceiling, oozing a feeling of serenity.  Lydia wanted a simple name for her boutique hence the name The Outside. The outside is the first thing people see when they look at you.

You first show the world yourself but not really, who you truly are, but the first impression is always based on your outer look. The shop is located on a side street from two main exits in the city, but hard to recognize immediately, so somehow the boutique is also on the outside of the inside of the city. (Korte Houtstraat 9).

Lydia has been in business for 15years, “I say longevity”. She is 100% Dutch, but somehow seems Danish, she is often mistaken for Danish, maybe it is the shiny blond hair and blue eyes.

Her favorite designer is Munthe, a Belgium designer. The shop stocks various brands such as Munthe, bruunbazaar, hoss interopia, Ross Vanderkerckhove, jewelry by Petra Reijrink and much more.
Her style is feminine, edgy, funky, and casual, with a twist of masculinity and bohemian. Therefore, her style is a lot like her shop. There is certainly something for everyone. The clothing is definitely not average mainstream.

She describes herself as loyal, kind sensitive woman and she loves nature. She chooses her collection on her intuition; well she does almost everything with the power of intuition. Prices start of from 30 -500 euros, depending on the item.

Thank you Lydia for your time it is always a pleasure.

TASTE OF BEETS

Beetroot Juice

This juice is made of six whole beetroot with skin.

Beetroot is not listed as a super food but maybe it needs to be placed on that list. Drinking beet juice daily lowers blood pressure.  Someone dear to me had a minor stoke a while back and he mention that drinking beetroot juice is helping him to reduce his blood pressure to help prevent the stroke from recurring.

I have been eating many beets as snack and noticed that my skin, which was prone to spots, was clearing out rapidly. Through many happens in my life I stopped, but now I am back on the beetroot bandwagon.

In some research, beetroot juice may boost stamina to help you exercise long, so I am even curious if it will give me more endurance during my yoga practice.

As a vegetable beetroots are sweet, astringent, heavy, smooth, relieves anaemia.

Apparently, some surveys also show that beet juice relieves many cases of disease related to calcification in the body like
Arthritis
Heart diseases
Cancer
Kidney stones
Eye problems
Varicose veins
Arteriosclerosis

In addition, beet juice is consider to be a perfect drink for cleansing/ detoxing.

Benefits are good source of folate, potassium, vitamin C, fiber and antioxidants as well as nitrates.

In addition, if you start with drinking beet juice you need to know that it might make your urine and stools reddish.
 That is perfectly normal.

A juice recipe if you prefer a more diluted taste of beets.
One pear
½ a beetroot
One carrot
One apple
1-inch ginger

Delicious!

MEETING LOTTIE

Today the weather forecast is sunny and I am feeling great. Arriving at Soul Beach, Es Codolar, and the clouds has shaped itself into a star just to remind us that we are all stars. At Soul Beach tables are only available if you’re going to eat and the beach mattress are only available if you have booked, and that came with a bottle of champagne.

We had previously eaten so there was no way that we would eat again just to satisfy the waiter…so we sat on a blanket on the stones which was quiet annoying.  I had ordered my pina colada, which tasted as good as it looks. With such a view of the ocean and the sun basking against my skin it was well worth it. I also found a rose stuck into the stones, it was my find of the day which I took home as a souvenir.

First stop Sant Carles de Peralta there I found a great vintage shop and in there is where I met Lottie Bogotti, a child probably at the age of ten. She was working in her mother’s shop since her mother had hurt her back and could not move. Lottie was friendly and sweet. I was told by a local that children are allowed to start working early let’s say assisting at a young age, so they learn how to economize for later on, anyhow I was impress by how well Lottie was able to play her role of shop assistance.

I did find two gorgeous vintage dresses long to the floor and price was goedkoop, a phrase that is often used in the Netherlands. It is Saturday today and we made our way to Las Dalias market, which is very close to the village. There is no way you wouldn’t visit this well-known market if you were in Ibiza. I love markets vibes the atmosphere is always joyful, and the people are always friendly; I think in one of my past life I was definitely a trader.
Dinnertime arrived so we set off to our friends at Atzaro.com for dinner.
